Starting a staging company??
My mom is thinking about offering a staging service..
She flips houses and currently does our staging and has the material to do 2-3 homes at a time. I used to scoff at the concept but she has made me a believer.
There doesn't seem to be many people offering the service in our area, and I think we have a great advertising platform by showcasing her work in our rehabbed properties.
I'm just curious what people charge for a full houses staging??
Is there a lease agreement stating how long you keep the furniture??? In case the property is overpriced and sits on the market forever.?
Would it be possible to price the furniture pieces and use the staged home as a furniture showroom. "I would be willing to pay a premium for a dining table that I know will look great"
She was just asking and I volunteered to do some research for her.

Impossible to answer the "how much" question - too many variables can factor in (size of home, area, amount of rooms staged, quality of furniture, etc.
I just staged a 2800 sq. ft home and did the entire home less two bedrooms. For 2 months, my cost was just over $5k, but we are talking about a high end home (sell price is $1.35M).
To stage a regular 1500 sq. ft home in a regular neighborhood should cost much, much less.
Staging services usually require a minimum time frame (mine was 2 months) and each additional month is charged at a reduced rate. You also have delivery/pickup charges and a security deposit.
If you do not have any of these services in yoru area, you need to find out why. Is it because nobody needs these services in that area or did somehow you find any area which does need it and nobody else has yet to figure that out? Ball in your court.
