Who do I need help from when starting a flipping project? More specifically who do I contact to remodel? Contractors and who else? Do I need to hire an architect? What connections should I make before pursuing a House flipping project? How and where can I find these connections ?
Simple answer, depends how extensive is the remodel will be. This will vary on a case by case basis.
Basically, it's best to start to meet and talk to everyone you can. If you plan on making a business or a hobby out of it then you'll need eventually need a little of everything.
I'd at least start with the basics:
- general contractor (maybe a decent handyman if its a small enough job)
- real estate agent that understands what you're looking for and will help you sell afterwards
- an attorney or title company depending on where you live.
As for where, ask around, look for meetups and ask other investors (BP has a meetup page, see if there are local meetups) or check meetup.com or some other sources.
In broad strokes you need 1) lead relationships (wholesalers, agents, etc) 2) money relationships 3) contractor relationships 4) supplier relationships 5) sell side agent
Let me know if you need any recommendations for any of those in Los Angeles County.
