How difficult is it to get a hard money loan on a first time investment?

Not that hard but expect higher than usual interest rates because you don't have a proven track record. Make sure you run the numbers to see if it all makes sense

Totally doable. You might pay more or not have access to as high LTV but there are lenders that will help you. Some may be able to count any primary residences you own or have owned as some sort of experience to help get a little better rate etc.

@Jonathan Toruno Definitely doable if you have a good deal you are looking to finance and you have a solid overall financial profile. Both things will make a lender feel more comfortable about financing you as a first timer.

20% down, decent credit score. Solid employment, 2 year income history (tax returns).
