Mobile home flipping?

Michael Zollars
Posted

So I have no credit and need a place to live. I’m seeing mobile homes in selling for 15,000 to 20,000 fond one for 8,000 that needs part of the inside finished. Has anyone done something like this with a mobile home that could give me some pointers. So far having to pay lot rent for the time I live in it and work on it is the only downside I see. Am I missing something? Seems like more people would be doing this if it worked.

@Michael Zollars you could do this. I'm pretty sure I've come across stories of some people who have. I think most people don't because the margins are fairly tight. How much money would you have to put into the $8k home to be able to sell it for $15k, plus time and energy.

If you're ok with those numbers, taking on this level of risk for this level of return, then do it. Don't let anyone tell you not you.

Will the park people report your rent as a way to build credit?

Good luck!
