Paying the cabinet guy

Hey it’s my first post on here, what up

So I’m 19 and a first time flipper out of Minneapolis. I’m flipping a condo and everything is going along smoothly besides the cabinets. We found a guy on craigslist that has a company with some decent reviews. He wants the money up front for a 2-3 week delivery. He gave a fair price and we compared it with other cabinet makers. I want it in 2 weeks but I’m not sure if I can trust all of this and I’m not sure what to do.

I want these cabinets fast but I don’t want to write the check just like that.

What should I say/do?

-Thanks Bennett

@Bennett Lureen

Why don't you just drive to the local Menards and lay out your kitchen, then get cabinets on order?

I like paying for my materials that way someone can't justify upfront payments.  Whenever someone asks me for that now, I tell them my credit score, and that I don't pay up front.

Where'd you get the money to be flipping a house at 19, anyways?
