Does anyone ever tie the rehab contract with your contractor to the buyer's inspection? For example not paying them the final payment until the buyer's inspections gives the final approval?

Why would a contractor ever agree to make a payment contingent on an unknown and unverified third party's opinion? Especially when even getting the third party's opinion is contingent on a fourth and fifth party's ability to do their job (the two agents involved)

If you find a contractor willing to accept these terms, I assure you that you don't want to hire that contractor because that contractor is a crazy person.
