1950’a cabin renovation

I am inheriting a 750 SF mountain cabin built in the 1950's, that has had zero updates (including appliances). Has anyone here renovated a similar property type, and if so what were the biggest challenges (electrical, septic, potential asbestos, reconfiguring of floor plan, etc). We've only owned new construction, and are just getting into the STR business so we'd love to get any and all pointers from those who have flipped older properties, particularly pre-1960's structures.
