What to do with an Ugly Rock Wall?

Hello,

I am looking for some thoughts/help on what to do with an ugly rock wall. I am planning to flip this house, but trying to figure out what others would do with a similar wall. Painting it doesn't seem like a good option. This is not a style that you find in homes in our market so I don't want to keep it, but it seems like a pain to tear out and replace. If anyone has run into a similar situation, I would love to hear what you did and how much it cost.

Thanks

Dean

We ended up framing in a fireplace and changing it over to an electric fireplace. Then tiled it and a floating mantel
