Tax Liens on Property owed by a Foreign Entity

Sarah Bella
Posted

Hi all,

I am starting to invest in tax liens. I am going the "Orphan Lien" route and looking into liens that did not receive a bid at the last auction. I have found several on some beautiful property lots, however, every single lien I have come across is on property owned by an investment company out of Denmark. Should I be wary of this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can find some gems on the no bid list, but usually they are few and far between.....like 1 in 1000 or 1 in 2500, so why you say you found several, that concerns me that there is way more to the story....that they're not actual gems.  Maybe even worse is that someone in Denmark bought them.  Sounds like they didn't know what they were buying.....it's not impossible, but it is rare that good properties didn't sell.   999 times out of 1000 it is junk.  In the flood zone, unbuildable, land locked, big demolition liens on it, or something that makes all the experienced and frequent bidders pass it up.

Where are these?
