Is it legal for wholesalers to market Lands available properties?

I have found numerous Lands Available.properties post tax deed auction that are on county lists for purchase over the counter at tax deeds offices, listed  by supposed wholesalers who  are marketing them  as their own. Is this legal? Is it moral? Is it  an accepted common practice?

Real Estate laws vary by state, but it is typically (if not always) illegal to market property that is not yours or that you do not have an equitable interest in. Further more, if you do not have an interest in the property you cannot market it for someone else unless you are licensed to do so and have an agreement with that person to do so.

I will leave the morality of the practice up to you since it is subjective and dependent upon one's moral compass, or lack there of.
