If you hold the tax deed in Alabama on a piece of property can you lease a portion of that property to a billboard company and allow them to build a billboard on the leased lot? Thanks in advance for any information.
I am not sure, but I will bet @Denise Evans has a good opinion on it.
@Kevin Cannady , a large double sided billboard costs close to $100,000 to build. No billboard company is going to sign a lease with a 30-day cancellation clause and incur that kind of expense. Until you have quieted title, you will probably not be able to get title insurance, either, because of the possibility of outstanding judicial redemption rights even after the tax deed date. Most billboard companies want title insurance. So, the legal answer is, you can do that. The real world answer is, there is practically a 0% likelihood of you actually getting a deal done.
