Does Shelby County TN regiter deed automatically?

The info I got from the Trustee's office was that the deed was registered  with the Register of Deeds for purchaser as part of the sale. It still says we need to call and request that on their website. Can someone more experienced please enlighten me on this? Thanks very much in advance!
