Creating my first LLC

Adriana Duarte

Hi,

I am relatively new in bp but from what I have gathered, it seems like a big family with the same common objective “financial freedom.“ It is full of great videos and amazing people sharing their knowledge, and even trading time for charity. I started listening Brandon’s podcast, webinar, and watching his videos, which are all very educational and constructive (watched also Cardone, Clayton Morris).My 23 year old son who is finalizing his masters in cyber security, has also developed a strong interest and is very enthusiastic about this opportunity for growth.

My husband and I are still working (W2) and we have our primary house on Long Island N Y. and a rental vacation property in Florida. We never started an LLC for real estate but we are in the process of buying a duplex in Pittsburgh (ourselves) and another vacation rental property (partner). I have heard a lot about the benefits in taxes when you are involved in real estate, which I feel like we never took advantage of. This would be a great opportunity to do so. I manage

my own property, and my house has a lot of extra space where I can build my office.

Would you please be able to advise me with a good CPA and property manager in Pittsburgh?

Thank you

@Adriana Duarte

You sound like your off to a great start! I would recommend speaking to an attorney about creating a trust to hold your primary residence, cars, personal accounts. That way they are protected from law suits in advance. People are constantly fishing for us targets. Then transfer your rental to an LLC and limit your exposure. I know you did not ask, but I know too many people who were caught unprepared.
