Closing costs in Minnesota

Francis A.

Hi,

What do closing costs in Minnesota average for multi family dwellings (duplexes, triplexes) specifically?

IE: Building costs of... $150k =? ; $200k = ?; $250k = ?; $300k etc.

and so on. Is there a rule of thumb to obtain ball park idea of all costs associated with closing? This is strictly to try and anticipate what numbers to expect.

Thank you all!

@Francis A. I'll give you a quick run down on the closing costs from a duplex I purchased for 250K:

Loan origination charge: $750 (this may be 1% of the PP, however we went through a credit union on this one)

Appraisal fee: $275 (I've seen this fee go closer to $600 on some purchases )

Credit Report: $11

Tax Service Fee: $70

Flood Cert: $9

Title Services and Lenders Title Insurance: $1,520

Owners Title insurance: $271

Government Recording Charges: $92

Transfer Taxes: $519

Your pre-paids and taxes will depend on how you set it up.

I believe this is all. Cheers, Sawyer
