Hi Knoxville! Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, investment-minded realtor in the Knoxville area? Any additional details would be great - What kinds of properties were you looking for and in what areas?
I haven't bought any properties through realtors in Knoxville, but I have spoke with a bunch of them. Thus far, Billy Houston (https://www.billyhoustongroup....) seems to be the best I have found.
During my first call with him, we talked about my investing plans, and he was super quick to recall properties currently on the market, the best areas to invest in for my price range, and rental rates in those areas.
Definitely get in contact with his group!
Thank you @Miller McSwain ! This is very useful. I will be reaching out to them.
@Warren Bryant Being a realtor who invests myself, I look for other agents who can understand both the residential and investment market fluently and can switch hats pretty easily. I have a few good recommendations for you, shot you a message as well!
Hey Warren, I have used " The Cook Team" Jim and Jennifer Cook. They are local experts. They also have a team of realtors that work for them. I had a problem rental and they helped me rehab it and sell it extremely quick. Also they know the greater Knoxville area very well. They will keep you out of bad areas and help you understand why even just a 1/4 mile down the road to our can command so much more rent. Based in schools, township, tax base, comps, they really know their stuff. Best if luck hope you find a elusive 2%er.
@Warren Bryant I would love to help out! What area of Knoxville and what type of investments are you looking to purchase?
Thanks for all the replies. I have actually started working with an agent named Tausha Price. She has been an absolute gem; a true wellspring of information for a new investor like myself. We actually are under contract on a house currently and hopefully will close soon. This whole experience has been incredibly informative. I've pretty much showed my ignorance at every turn, but I'm so glad I've pushed through.
My wife and I just got some tenants lined up for our current house, so I feel like I my REI journey has just officially begun. Hope to work with you all in the future as my network and portfolio expands :)
