Moving from Atlanta to Dallas

Hi all! My wife and I are moving to Dallas end of 2020/early 2021. We are unfamiliar with the city, and only know that I will working around Crescent Court. We have two children who will both be under 2, and are looking for safe suburbs with the best school districts. Anyone have suggestions of where to live or which resources to use? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

@Stephen P Cardinal. Will your wife work as well ? That can play a big factor depending on her commute as well. Like you, when we moved here we could've picked any part of Dallas. We truly thought it was going to be Frisco, until we arrived here and I realized what a crazy commute that is to downtown. We ended up picking the west side Irving Coppell area, and couldn't be happier. The commute into downtown depending upon what time you go to work can be 25 minutes. But on the way home it could be up to an hour. On the 635 and 114 once it merges with the 121 that's when the traffic really kicks in so I wouldn't recommend going any further than that. But ultimately it truly depends on your budget. Do you want to be in a property with an HOA? Do you want to have a pool? How old can the house be? will it be a rental when you upgrade or here through elementary for the kids because school districts do matter.

Luckily you have some time to keep your eye on the market. Best wishes!!
