Fellow Spokane Rental Investors. As you may have known our city has passed new regulations that effect landlord/tenant relations specificllly pertaining discrimination. The city is hosting a meeting for landlords today August 24 2017 to explain the new changes and answer any questions you might have. If you have the opportunity to go it may be of use to you.

The forum/meeting is at 6:00pm-7:30pm at 1603 N Belt.
The city is also working on another ordinance that will make it easier for tenants to report substandard conditions to the city and for the city to be able to require the landlord to improve the conditions, or risk having the property boarded up. For most investors this won't be a problem, however slumlords beware. This event is a good opportunity to speak you opinions and express to our elected officials what you think. Im out of town and am not able to go to it today. But I figured it might be of value to you. Wishing you all the best!!!
