Technology in our business

I have noticed that while we use a lot of platforms to help us run our businesses in Real Estate we are still pretty far behind in most respects. Do you think this is because most of the people in the Real Estate business are small businesses? We recently launched a new App for our company, and I know firsthand what a huge and expensive undertaking it was. Is the barrier to entrance just too high? The companies I see, and use are support companies that have found a niche in Real Estate Investors. CRMs, List pulling sources, skip tracing, Call dialers, etc. I don’t see many people actually out there doing deals really leveraging technology. Are we just an old-fashioned business? Is that changing? What are people seeing? I am super curious.
