Domain Name with Location?

How important is it to have a location specific domain name? Specifically for credibility and SEO.

I.e. sellyourhousedfw.com vs sellyourhousefast.com (just an example)

Just not as important as it used to be. But it is a tiny, tiny difference most people believe.

More importantly, I would buy a domain that already had links to it from quality real estate related websites.

I would also try and keep the domain short in length and make it pass the radio test. If you have to spell it out if you were on the radio so people can get it right, then don't buy it.

Example of a bad domain name Dallasbuyz, people are going to go to dallasbuys if you are doing any marketing.
