Appraisals and Asbestos Siding

Hey Everyone,

So, I'm about to put in an offer on a house and was curious has anyone else dealt with asbestos siding. I know it's not harmful unless messed with but was more curious if anyone has had issues renting a home because of it. I'm seriously considering doing Section 8 for this house but didn't know if that would make it ineligible or cause me any other snags. 

Part 2: For those of you that have replaced the asbestos siding with another material, did that increase the home value at all?
