I've been looking to invest in a few single family rental properties.. How do I find off market deals and wholesalers that can find me suitable properties in need of renovations to purchase? Thanks!

@Anthony Raposa, I appreciate you are new to this, but part of the reason they are "off market" is because if they were easy to find, they would be on market.

That being said, off market deals are found by networking. REIA meetings, meetups, calling the "handyman special" signs, calling the "we buy ugly houses" or the "we pay cash" billboards and signs.

Additionally, you blanket a neighborhood you are interested in with door knocking, direct mail campaigns. You can buy lists, but again, if it is on a list I would argue it is not "off market", even if it isn't on the MLS.

You can talk to the mailman to find out who recently passed away or is moving to a nursing home.  Scour obituaries. Google "skip tracing" and hire a virtual assistant or call center to start dialing any property that last transacted for under a certain price point.
