New Investor in Kansas City/Independence/Liberty

Hello, I've been out of the Bigger Pockets network for a couple years now and am finally getting back to it. My wife and I are looking to rent our current single family home (VA loan) and to purchase/rent our first multi-family home (with remainder of our VA) by 2018. Before we get into it full force, I'd like to make sure we are part of a good support network. Wondering who is meeting up in the Kansas City, Independence, Blue Springs, Missouri areas and hoping I could invite myself into a group or two? I'll also be posting soon in the advice section for help with the VA process for purchasing a second home (in this case multi-family) so if you have experience in this area, advice would be greatly appreciated!
