HomeUnion question and out of state rental option

Anyone worked with HomeUnion? We are looking to invest out of state. I am a real estate agent and investor in CO but due to high prices here I am thinking about trying out of state rental. I have few properties in Denver Metro so not new to this ....but any good advice and recommendations on how to approach the out of state model greatly appreciated.
