Bay Area House Hack Recommendations

Hey all, I live in the Bay Area and am currently shopping around for a home to house hack. I've got my eye on certain areas of Oakland, mostly the Temescal and Rockridge area, as I want to be in a good walkabilty area. I wanted to get the opinion of other locals and see if there's some other area's you might recommend I look into. Big thanks.
