Home owner insurance referral in California

I am going to close a single family house in a week. Home owner insurance got so expensive due to the fire. Many insurance company don’t want to insure in CA. The cheapest quote I got is from travelers at 2500.

I was told local brokers will always give much better rate. Any suggestions ?
