What should I do next?

I have about 10k in savings to invest. I'm brand new to real estate investing, I've started with the basics of paying down my debt and saving the difference. I want to invest in Oregon/Washington SFH. The market is crazy right now but I know that's not a real excuse not to invest. Where can I do to find mentors?

I’ve been reading, listening to podcast and working hard to build up some capital. I think my next step is to find someone who’s ahead of me to get this journey going

Hi Torrey,

When I was getting my first few deals I would say the authors that I read, and podcasts I listened to were my mentors. The real estate agent and mortgage broker that walked me through the deals really helped a lot. Once I had some experience and knew what areas I wanted to focus on more I found people with those skills/experiences. Once I found someone with more units than me I latched on and befriended them. After going to events and rubbing shoulders with so many people at the level I wanted to be at it was no longer intimidating. I guess I have never paid for coaching but I also am pretty self motivated and have not achieved all that much compared to many on here.

Best of luck and keep us posted on what you end up doing!
