My 1st investment deal

Hey everyone! I wanted to share the story of my first real estate investment back in 2019. I started with zero experience and a lot of determination. That year, I purchased a new construction single-family home as a buy and hold investment for $208,990. I put down about 10 percent, which came out to around $20,395. Since I didn’t have all the cash at the time, I used a credit card to help cover the down payment and paid it off over time. The lender, who was affiliated with the construction company, also helped cover some of the closing costs, which made the process more manageable.

I held onto the property for a few years and sold it in 2022 for $285,000, walking away with a solid profit. That first leap taught me a lot and gave me the confidence to keep building. Today, I am focused on fix and flip strategies and growing a short-term rental business. Looking forward to connecting with others in the space and continuing to grow together!
