Short term rental

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $450,000

We bought this with zero down of our own money. We leveraged another property via a HELOC to cover all down payment and closing costs, so we had nothing out of pocket. We use it as a short-term rental property. It consistently grosses over $50,000 per year, easily covering all its expenses and pocketing some cash at the end of the year. The best part is we still get to use it as a family to vacation at, so we've essentially got a free vacation home to use.
