Million Dollar Listing on Bravo

I know this topic has no value, but I am having a debate with a friend and I am hoping someone can settle it.
On the show, there was a 16 million dollar sale to an over seas investor. they stated there was a 420k commission. Is that just Joshes commission, or is that split between him and the sellers agent?
I am aware of percentages for agents in Ohio, but is California different? I am going to completely ignore any split with their brokers to keep things simple.
I am sure most will just speculate like I am, but maybe someone on here knows them personally and knows the inner workings of the deal.
Thanks!

Am I the only one that thinks $420k is a ridiculous amount to pay to a Realtor for ANY property?
