Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $168,000

Great pocket neighborhood.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

Was previously my primary residence. The day I was going to put on the market I decided to see what was involved with renting. 2 weeks later I had a rental permit and a signed lease.

How did you finance this deal?

Traditional FHA

How did you add value to the deal?

With a construction background I have been able to tackle most repairs myself. I have replaced that hot water heater and the bathtub plumbing.

Lessons learned? Challenges?

Owning a condo has pluses and minuses.
