How should I go about finding a team to fix up an investment property?

& should I take an inspector with me to check the house, the first time I see the property?

@Carlos Cuervo

I have found that the best way for finding contractors is through referrals. Preferably, have the contractor walk the property with you.

There aren't many contractors who are just going to go with you to preview homes and give you estimates, at least not right now. All of the contractors in my area are booked through October because everyone is doing work. You actually want to make friends with contractors who invest so looking could be a win-win for either one of you.

@Carlos Cuervo Just checking to see if you have been successful in finding a team to fix up investment properties?  I'm new to investing and looking to put together a team myself, so curious if you have had any luck.  Thanks!

 @Charles Carillo - How do you go about getting a referral when you are new to investing and new to the market you are looking in?  If you are just starting out and don't have a strong network, where do you start?  Thanks!
