I disagree. Statements like "By allowing foreign buyers to buy American homes in large numbers, affordability of housing for American middle-class citizens is only going to further erode, eventually to the point of them not being able to afford homes in their own country." just show the author doesn't get it. Chinese buyers vs. hedge funds... I think wall street sees the trend with residential REITs, even though their implementation will prove to be less than rewarding.

The author needs to go to Hawaii. Then the bay area. See who lives there. My 2 cents.
