Where to find section 8 tenants

Are there specific sites or processes to get into the list for Fort Worth and McKinney to to list your property as a rental for section 8 tenants?

section 8 rents tend to be higher because the vouchers are higher in certain ZIP Codes.

I'm looking to understand if there are specific websites or ways to get into the case worker list at McKinney and Fort Worth to find section 8 tenants

i know of affordablehousing.com / zillow / Redfin for listing rentals.

Are there are other ways to tap into section 8 tenants?

@Aruna Ravichandran affordablehousing.com should be more than enough to get you section 8 applications. You need to understand that it is true that the housing authority pays more in some zip codes. But they pay based off rental comps. So if they pay more it is not that they pay over market rate. So I'm not sure why you would chase after lower qualified tenants only to make the same rental rate? This is coming from 15 yrs of experience managing rentals in DFW, many of them section 8.

Why are you so desperate for Section 8? You may get steady rent (or at least a portion of it will be steady) but you may end up with a problematic tenant.

I will take a tenant that pays their own bills over a Section 8 tenant any day of the week.

The minute I post a rental on Facebook Marketplace I'm flooded with Section 8 requests. We dont accept vouchers (aka Section 8) so I spend a lot of time copying and pasting, "sorry we dont accept vouchers for this property"

Now this is specific to my market in Byran / College Station, Tx and might not be the same for you.

I would also recommend you reach out to your local county housing authority. Here in Brazos County, they publish a list of Section 8 friendly properties.
