Tips on Pulling a Probate list

Hi BP community.

I am trying to find out where I can pull a probate list, but I'm not sure exactly where to look or what local government office to call.  I called the local Clerk's office but no one seemed to know what I was talking about. Would I be better off calling a probate attorney's office? Or should I just go to the court house and ask someone?
