Direct Mail Marketing

I am getting prepared to do my first direct mail campaign, but am looking for help/ideas on what it should say.  It just seems like saying "We Buy Houses for Cash Fast - Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" is almost too basic.  Is there other things that I should be including on my mailers?

Hi @Roy Ulmer. I am both an investor and a licensed realtor in New Orleans. Nice to make your acquaintance!

If your market is like most other markets across the country it is likely to be saturated with investors, with many of them doing direct mail. That means potential off market sellers are getting bombarded with direct mail.

For example, I had one guy that I was going back and forth with for a while send me a picture of all the direct mail he had been getting from investors. He had received about two dozen mail pieces in about 6 weeks time. Pretty much all of them looked the same and read the same.

So with that being said, the question to ask yourself is how is your mail piece going to stand out from the crowd? Or will it just get lost in the mix?

My suggestion is to create your own custom mail pieces that are unique and that differentiate you... something will make you stand out and not get lost in the shuffle.
