In my community there is no real estate meet ups, that I know of anyways. Over the years I have met many landlords and many people interested in real estate investing who just never got started. I have considered hosting a meet up in my community to bring us all under one roof and see how things go and what comes from it. However I have no idea where to start on how to host a meeting as in what to cover in the first one? The types of people that may come will be from beginners to people who have over 90 rental doors and people that are just interested in getting started. Any help on where to start and what to cover in the first meeting would be greatly appreciated.
For a first meeting, I would just open with 10-15 minutes of introducing yourself and discussing why you wanted to start a meetup, network, add value to each others lives and real estate ventures, learn together, ect.. Then have the rest of the night as a meet and greet. Before you turn it over to the meet and greet part, tell everyone to let you know what topics they want covered at future meet ups. You can then just find professionals at each topic and coordinate speakers. I am looking to start a meet up soon too and that is my plan!

I looked at a map of your town.
If I were doing it, I'd pick someplace like Luigi's Pizza on Crowsnest (if the food is good and if it's a popular place).
This looks good because the tables can be pulled together and most people like pizza (a plus if there is beer and wine there too).
I'd ask Luigi if he minded if there was a gathering there, and I'd pick a slow time for about 90 minutes maximum, to help ensure there would be enough seating and that it would be relatively quiet inside.
I'd also encourage the attendee's to order some pizza or other food or drinks (because Luigi has to make a buck too).
As far as the itinerary for the meet, it could be, open discussion meet and greet, or more structured with some type of presentation.
