Guidance on Private Investor Presentations and Metrics

Hello everyone,

What kind of presentations are beneficial for marketing for private money? I used to be a recruiter and understand that I must utilize every tool in the box in order to be successful. I put together a power point presentation based off of Brandon Turners book (Rental Property Investing) to market to friends and family in Los Angeles, CA however the combined experience here well surpasses my own. I want to know if I am hitting the mark on the information that I need to broadcast to build interest. My goal is to have the capital needed to act quickly when the opportunity on the horizon hits. I am a new investor and have two deals under my belt (both rental properties). Thanks in advance for the guidance, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Depends on your audience. Making some fancy presentation is typically fluff when dealing in this arena. People invest in people so you must show you are worthy of the responsibility of other people's money and have the knowledge and/or experience to properly do so. I started out with family and friends and I did so by having a few deals under my belt, had a history of business operations (with success) and branched out from there. Telling people what I do and how I do it went a long way in gaining admiration, trust, and interest in others investing in ME. Investing in a property is one thing, but ultimately it comes down to the person taking the money so start there.
