30 day lease termination with eviction pending

Good morning. I had a tenant not pay rent for September so I issued a five day pay or quit, they didn't pay or quit. Filed for eviction. I had shut off my Zelle so they couldn't send a $10 and start the clock over. She then said she would pay the court, great. I have not heard anything since. In the meantime I found there is a lot more to this story and I just want them out, illegal drugs and domestic issues. Court date is early October. They are on a month to month lease. Can I send a 30 day lease termination letter with an eviction pending in Virginia? This is my first, I may need an attorney at some point, but I'd like to learn as much as I can. Over 10 years and this is the first one.
