I am currently living in Toronto but my dream is to invest in or around my hometown of Guelph. I am just starting my real estate investment journey and would sincerely appreciate being able to connect with anyone investing in or around Guelph. 

Would love some thoughts on investing the city and/or surrounding area. I am currently looking over the Wellington County 10-year plan and trying to figure out my best next steps.

so I have currently been looking in the Guelph area, due to some friends I have that go to Guelph U. Great city to want to buy in.The only thing is that when looking on MLS sites, you're not going to find a lot of listings (or great ones) due to a lot of people wanting into this market. Simple fix is to really be motivated, find a neighbourhood you like, get out and either door knock, send flyers and keep calling. This is an amazing place to want to get in at. I am mostly in Brantford area which is not all that far away. good luck and stay in close contact for any questions.

I am an investor in the Guelph area.  I was born and raised there and now live in Kitchener - the bigger city yet not Toronto way!!  Rents are strong there and it is a diverse city for employment.  You have U of G and Conestoga college as well as industrial workers like Linamar.  The surrounding area of Kitchener and Cambridge are also excellent cities to consider.  Feel free to chat with me anytime.
