Weekly Market Activity ReportFor Week Ending June 8, 2024 (Data current as of June 17, 2024)

Weekly market activity data and reports are provided by ShowingTime and are updated on Mondays by 2:00 pm, once received. Exceptions are on Monday holidays when data/reports are unavailable until the following day. U.S. home prices have increased by more than 47% since 2020, according to a recent analysis by ResiClub of the Case-Shiller National Home Price Index, outpacing the growth of the 1990s and 2010s, which saw prices rise 30.1% and 44.7%, respectively. Analysts say home price growth this decade is on track to surpass the growth of the 2000s; when home prices rose 47.3% in the Charlotte region. 

For the week ending June 8: New Listings increased 15.4% to 1,258. Pending Sales increased 7.3% to 968. Inventory increased 33.8% to 7,439

For the month of May: Median Sales Price increased 3.9% to $400,000. List to Close decreased 3.6% to 80 Percent of Original List Price Received- decreasing 0.2% to 97.8%. Asheville Region: In the Asheville region, for the week ending June 8: New Listings increased 19.2% to 335 Pending Sales increased 9.7% to 238 Inventory increased 32.5% to 2,716. For the month of May: Median Sales Price increased 7.4% to $435,000. List to Close increased 3.6% to 87 Percent of Original List Price Received-decreasing 1.1% to 96.2%. Months Supply of Homes for Sale increased 43.5% to 3.3 months
