We are first-time buyers looking into STR investment in Long Island. I am seeking information on market trends and regulations concerning STR in the Hampton Bays area. Specifically, I want to know if short-term rentals are allowed and if there are any upcoming changes to these rules. Additionally, I would appreciate community insights on renting out properties that aren't condos or co-ops in this area, as well as the market value.
