Best Markets with Specific Zoning Regulations
My husband and I want to eventually retire to somewhere in the Bay Area, anywhere between Santa Cruz and Calistoga. However, that covers a lot of different cities, each with their own zoning and STR regulations. Who could I best contact that specializes in multi-city zoning overviews to give us a list of cities that allow the kind of zoning we want to help us narrow our search? Ideally, we want to find a property that has a main brick & mortar home, and also allows one or more ADU's and potential RV parking. We would love the flexibility to short term rent any of the units, but will likely live in 1 (as owner-occupied). Should we contact a real estate lawyer in the Bay Area for this? Or is there a less-expensive, more focused service that provides this kind of list?
