Insurance Rental Questions

Courtney Murphy

Hello BP Community,

We are thinking of pivoting our short term rental and are curious how you make your house available for insurance rentals. How do you find out what they would pay?

Thanks!

Courtney

Hi Courtney, the first step you may already have done. List on Airbnb, Furnished Finder, and Zillow. Relocation specialists do use those sites to find housing. You can also upload your property to some of the bigger company's websites, like CRS and ALE.

There's no easy way to find out what they'll pay since every insurance policy has different amounts of coverage. I'd say we've been able to rent for 20-40% higher to insurance placements than our "regular" bookings from Airbnb or Furnished Finder.

    Good luck!
