How to charge rent if tenant want to extend lease for less than a month

Hi all,

I have 2 nurses staying at my place, they initially signed a lease for 2months. Towards end of their lease, hospital extended their contract so they want to extend their stay for another 20days.

In this case, do I probate their rent or charge a full month rent?

Thank you!

Thanks Colleen! You are right, they are still waiting for hospital to finalize their extension.

@Wenai Ji  I usually pro rate but it depends on what your lease says.  If you prorate do ask them when they plan to stay until and are they staying until the end of the month or do they want to give you a date now that they will leave because my guess is they aren't leaving on day 20.
