Providing Internet To Separate Units In One Location

Brittany Schones
Posted

Hey BiggerPockets,
So my partner and I have multiple multi family properties and they are medium term rentals that are all furnished and have all utilities included. This also includes internet.
We have Comcast/Xfinity as an internet provided for our units. It seems like no matter who we talk to or how many times we explain our internet situation to Comcast/Xfinity they don't provide a service that allows for our one account to have multiple routers in the same location for our units. They say they can do 50+ units in a huge complex but that's not what we have. We have created multiple internet accounts to get around this issues but its a paid in the butt and not to mention expensive. We want each unit to have their own internet. There has to be people on here that have experienced the same issue and have a way around this or have cracked this problem. Are we the only ones? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!

Provide the internet service for the tenants and charge extra for it. You get a large connection and divide it using office grade router such as Ubiquity or Cisco
