Brand new to the industry, any advice helps!
I recently finished up my finance degree and am working in the field, but I want to bring in some side money or even be working for myself some day, and believe real estate investing is a great way to do so. At 23 y/o, I don't have the capital to get straight into buying/renting, but I've started the entity and plan on using wholesaling/saving to scale the business to that point.
However, as a first-time business owner/investor, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the information out there, the gurus, courses, and knowing what's actually good advice and what's a money grab. That's why I am reaching out to the community for some guidance as I know many here have built very successful careers in real estate.
I am particularly interested in networking, really building a book of business, and finding a mentor. Do you have any tips for a beginner like me on how to get started in wholesaling? How did you get your foot in the door and start building your network?
In the long term, I hope to eventually build a portfolio of rental properties. I know that wholesaling can be a great way to get started and gain experience, but I would love to hear from more experienced investors about what has worked for them in the past.
I appreciate any advice or guidance that you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!
