Advice on securing wholesale fee

Erin Foley
Posted

Morning!

I am working on my first wholesale deal, and found a seller who wants to sell several properties. . I had already been in touch with a cash buyer who expressed interest in the lot…..problem is that I didn’t get a contract on my own with the wholesale fee figured in. The buyer quoted me a figure for the wholesale fee verbally

Now that there buyer is  putting together an offer, he’s encouraging me to work with the seller to pay the wholesale fee. I likely screwed up by not making an offer independently and issuing a contract….is there any recommended path to take to ensure I’m not edged out of the process?
