Has one actually successfully wholesaled RE?

A few years ago there was this guy on youtube named Jerry Norton . He was Convincing people to wholesale RE , just wondering if its actually a profitable way to get into real estate. If so any advice ?

It can work but there is heavy competition. Many many people have seen a guru like this preach wholesaling which means owners are spammed with the same scripts. You need to make sure it's legal and what's allowed. You will also need contracts so you are compliant and protect yourself. The hard part is after that. You need to find good deals, off market. This takes time to learn the areas and reach out to many owners. It can also take $$. Ultimately it's a commitment but if you are committed and spend the time you will close deals.
