new wholesaler wondering if anyone has been successful wholesaling in vancouver BC?

It can be done. Not as easy as everyone makes it seem to be. Easier in larger projects. For example tie up 4-5 properties. Create a land assembly. Sell land assembly to investor possibly with certain permits, zoning changes, drawings in place. Single family home can be done but with no subject offers above asking in Vancouver its a hard task.
