Wholesale

So I have made the decision to enter the world of wholesale and been learning tons on all the helpful and insightful posts on BP. As you would expect I have plenty of questions like how to build my buyers list? What are the best marketing tools in my market to find sellers? How to properly assess property damage and amount it would take to repair? Just to name a few. I am also interested in attending REI meetings in order to network as I presume it would be a great way to gain valuable information and key networking opportunities with some local buyers and investors as well as other wholesalers in my market. Please share any information about meetings in my area. And of course any valuable information for a newbie who's searching for the answer to the biggest questions, WHERE AND HOW SHOULD I BEGIN MY WHOLESALE CAREER?

@Nelson Carbo Glad to hear. Sounds like you already knew how to land a mentor:) I still have a coach as I believe that there is always something to be learning. I've also used listsource and do a lot of direct mailing. Just a heads up that my numbers are roughly 1 deal per 1000 letters. I also use craigslist (have to learn how to weed out the bad). I filter through 50-100 per day and get a deal or two a month. Might seem like a lot of work, but it pays off and when you get to a certain point you can just hire VAs to do that part for you. Wholesaling requires some work, but most things do. Hope your first deal goes well. God bless.
